It depends on what encryption they are using. If it is WPA than it is easy, but WPA2 etc are way more difficult. But if it is WPA than you could probably get by the key with a brute forcer. But if you have access to the router you can unplug it for 30Sec and it will reset the key to default "This works on all encryption types", which will either be nothing or they will have the default key on the bottom of the router.

And for DVD burning i suggest Simply Burns if you are on a mac. But if you use PC than i suggest Active ISO Burner or Roxio

Its not the only way, its just the easier way. Hak5 did a episode on how to do it i will post it for you.
