After turning 20

I've just come to terms with the fact that I'm no longer a teenager.

I don't see teenagers anymore. I see... I see youths. Slumped S shapes in their hoodies, all huddled round a bin of burning grannies. All texting eachother because they've given up on speech.

I only text because its a mean of communication faster than calling. And its free on my plan. And when I do text I don't use text lingo.

A rare breed? If you ask me I think teenagers like that are 16 or younger. Because everyone around here is trying to get a job and getting prepared for college, or the military.

I thought the same thing until I went to college and realized that most everybody there is just looking to get out of the house, get an apartment, do drugs and live with friends.
I'm not labeling all teenagers, you just sort of realize how ridiculous the generation behind you is when you've graduated.
Like how we look at ridiculous we were when we were 10, or 15.

I think it's funny because I actually don't have many friends my age.
Especially since I'm really not into the party/drug/drinking scene.
I always feel like everyone acts so young and irresponsible.
Although gotta say I love hoodies.

I haven't gotten to college yet. But I've worked pretty damn hard to get to it. Drugs I believe are bad. I do smoke marijuana, but It has no effect that can harm or cause the ability to drive dangerously. And when I do I don't take advantage of it. At least that's how i see it. And i remember when i was 15 just getting to high school. I was such a tool. About 2.5 feet shorter too.

I like comfy sweatshirts, and v-neck sweatshirts. Long sleeve shirts are nice too.

lol I wouldn't count weed as a drug. It's less harmful to you than energy drinks.

I've seen a kid have a seizure for drinking too many energy drinks. It was scary. Worst thing I've seen when someone smokes is they get sleepy and pass out. Or they puke.

The worst thing I saw
We were smoking it from a hookah, and my buddy Spencer just laid back in the chair, turned pale as white, started breathing super heavily and kept passing out on and off, and he was getting sweaty.

Turns out he got so high so fast on top of having not eaten for 3 days.

But if you don't eat for 3 days just about anythign will cause that reaction.

i had a friend that hallucinate because he drank like 4 energy drink in like a 2 your span. Oh i also think he had a 5 hour energy shot.

Being 20 means a lot more than not being a teen anymore. It means that you are now subject to the true rigors of life in the real world. Its actually depressing at times, but just as rewarding.
