I don't like Glee but I tolerated it up till today.
They asked to use GNR music and got turned down by all the members and Slash commented that "Glee is where I draw the line", around the same time they asked Kings Of Leon and got turned down as the group wanted to avoid "selling out". The creator of Glee then did a Rolling Stone interview and called Slash and deadbeat uneducated loser, who's career is over and call the Kings of Leon assholes and then said the drummer was homophobic. I'm waiting for the media backlash. The dude's a douche and I hope his lame show gets canceled.
On a lighter note: some metal artists are covering Sinatra and releasing an album of it and Shatner is going trk with Zak Wyld to cover some Black Sabbath.

Shatner as in William Shatner, Captain Kirk?

@C0ffn: Where did you read this? Sources? etc. etc.
Because it doesn't sound legit, Since this just sounds so exaggerated. Remember the "I feel like the Kurt Cobain of my generation" of Justin Bieber? Or how about the "Facebook closing in March 15" gag? Yep, They were lies made viral to ruin. And I won't be surprised if this is one of them.

It's all from the same site though. o.o
Edit:
Googled it and it's legit.
My whole question is what's the big deal?

Also to be honest Slash was kind of being a dick.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, the guitarist said: “Actually, we got asked about that once already but it got turned down. In the current climate of what’s going on in entertainment these days, I try to be more optimistic than negative because it’s really easy to get negative about it, but I draw the line at Glee.”
Slash went on to say, “Glee is worse than Grease and Grease is bad enough… When Grease came out I was like, “Oh, c’mon, give me a break.” Actually, I look at Grease now and think: Between High School Musical and Glee, Grease was a brilliant work of art.”Last edited by CL0V3R; 28 Jan. 2011 at 02:23pm.
All hail kitty pig.

They're all cited on the same site. Each article tells you where its from originally.
Consider how many times a day someone asks to use "Sweet Child O Mine" or "Welcome to the Jungle" for something. Your have have standards for yourself. The music means something to you the artist and you only want it to be used in a way that you feel is correct. Glee and things like it are pretty much the anti-thesis of what any thing Slash or GNR is about so they turn down Glee and give a reason.
Also its most likely not the best idea to insult Slash. He kind of big and gets angry and drunk and then does stuff. Just sayin'.
Honestly I've only heard of one other instance where Slash was so dickish and it was with the media during GNR days, the Glee people either did something or someone else had done something during the interview to aggravate him.
