Of course it is. The Earth isn't able to sustain an infinite amount of people. Humans actually altered their population growth curve long ago and have since pushed the Earth to the brink. Either we'll take charge and control ourselves or some population curvature will occur(i.e. pandemic, war, extreme natural catastrophe).
People will absolutely take sterilization. Most people don't want children, they just want sex. If the government offers tax breaks, subsidies, and other benefits then people that want kids won't have them to get the money. Hundreds of women are on the pill and men use condoms, the world is trying hard to avoid having children.
God doesn't factor into the equation, but if you want to bring your deity into this your God forbids you to have sex outside of marriage, to have more children than you can care for, and to not ever lust which your "desire" to use orgasm to "escape" is.

The word you want is educated. Its why I can understand the world as it is and not live in a convoluted half baked reality full of holes, contradictions, illogical assumptions.
There is no less populated area. The world is over run with human. Something has to be done before we just deplete all our resources and all die.
People kill people. Humans are violent. Far worse thing happen every day, than people dying. Things you can't begin to imagine. Most countries allow abortion, thousands of "babies" are killed daily, if not millions. No one is going to stand in the street a mow down people for population control legitimately, though it is just as effective and quicker. The only reason any one has a problem is because of a bunch of made up bullshit rules that you all follow blindly. Rules that both hurt and help you, rules that make no sense, nave no reason, but still are never questioned.
An yes, most people that are of the age to have sex are avoiding reproducing. Generally we don't just have sex and hope for kids. You generally wait for a life partner then eventually decide to have kids, some never want kids. Its not crazy, its logical. Children are a ton of work and cost tons.

As for the ownership thing. You own your body only f you're sane and not doing things to harm yourself, otherwise other people step in and take possession to control you. If you force someone to have sex its rape and you go to jail. Rape is a sin by the way according to your God.
