About LinkBacksI'm running Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid Lynx and have been trying to figure out how to get my webcam working with Skype. It comes up in Cheese and everything is fine there. My webcam is a Logitech Quickcam Pro 5000 or a Logitech Quickcam Pro for Notebooks. And yes, I know Google is my friend but it hasn't come up with a working solution yet. Any suggestions?

Skype for linux is in beta and many things dont work on it. Skype always seems to crash out of no where for me in my ubuntu desktop set up. So it is more than likely skype, rather than your camera.

Which is odd because Skype runs fine and I can audio call and chat but just can't video. I saw this kind of response in previous findings but most were outdated so I figured I'd might as well ask and see if there was anything new.
