Occam's Razor is the law of parsimony ( Parsimony is the most frugal or correct answer. ) it states and I quote "It is futile to do with more things that which can be done with fewer" - William of Ockham. What that quote translate into (and the common use of this principle) is "The simplest outcome of a situation is the most likely to occur." or "The simplest solution to a problem is likely the most correct one."
