Makes me want to quit playing Hardcore.
Seriously, Fucking Techno integrated into every Hardcore band now.
YouTube - Asking Alexandria - Alerion
I mean after the almost 2 minute intro it sounds alright.
It annoys me when ever I get suggested a band it has tons of breakdowns or it's super auto-tuned. *Cough*
Either that or it has a fucking synth in it. Why? Why not just do without it? Fuck.
I really hope Hardcore doesn't get turned into some auto-tuned Techno garbage in the next 5 years.
No offense to people who enjoy Techno, But keep that shit out of Hardcore/Metal.

qq more.
I hate techno music for the most part, but just because your "hardcore" bands incorporate techno-esque instruments and sounds doesn't make them any less "hardcore".
It's like piling shit on shit.
I bet you're the kind of person who compares all of your shitty underrated bands to Bieber and hates anything mainstream.
Thing is, bands make music, which makes money, some bands make more money than others and become "mainstream" bands who want more money copy things mainstream bands do in order to get more fans.
So if you're going to qq and quit a kind of music every time they incorporate something you don't like then don't quit that genre, quit music all together.
Most bands change.

I just hate the sound of a synth. It annoys me.
That music would still be shit without it though.
I don't hate mainstream. I actually like many mainstream bands.
I think every band out there has coppied another band in some way.
Whether it be a simple chord or completely taking the song and replicating it, it happens.
I actually like most music, I'm not incredibly picky. It just pisses me off that bands are starting to auto-tune everything.
It's cheating your way into sounding decent.
If I'm qqing about anything, it's that bands are taking away the skill involved into creating music.Last edited by iMrT; 03 Sep. 2010 at 04:59am.

Well their are several bands out their that mix screamo and techno together and they aren't really considered straight bands but all the same their music isn't that horrid.
Their is hardcore screamo and hardcore metal and then their is happy hardcore (for those of you who don't know this is fast trance/techno which is performed by DJ cotts and DJ ravine and several other DJ's around the world)

How is using synths cheating your way into sounding decent? Synthesizers are an instrument that require skill to play, and editing synths in is still a valid approach.
Sure, auto-tune is an easy alternative to create music, but some people like the sound of it, even if it takes no singing talent.
No matter how much you think these easy tools to get a better sound are annoying and make it too easy to be famous it's going to stay. And more and more bands will adopt them.
