My desktop computer is crap. Not even 1GB of ram, I have like 954mb, which doesn't meet the requirements for many modern games today.

Your computer's RAM has nothing (not primarily) to do with graphics. Your graphics card does. You need a good graphics card with good RAM in it. Meaning, graphics cards have separate RAM for them.

RAM as in I can't play many games because I don't have the minimum requirements (ram). And my graphics card also sucks.

haha the first computer I got, a Gateway Windows 98 I pulled out of the dumpster, Had just that.
Windows 98
20GB on the HDD (15mb free)
50mb RAM
the standard graphics card that came with it, half of a sound card, and a makeshift computer fan that you had to spin yourself as soon as you got your computer running, or else it wouldn't spin at all and scream at you☜(* x *)☞FOOL ON COOL GENERATION
