If you'd like proof go to download anything from megaupload with the "SkipScreen" firefox add-on.
I don't know how it does it, but it fills in the capcha for all the downloads itself. If anyone can pick away at this addon and figure it out, that'd be awesome

It's really hard to explain but I know how it is done. Reads the image pixel for pixel and gets I would guess all the black pixels which are the letters and creates the text from them. That or the Captcha text is stored some where within the image.

.-. Yes, but it contains a MD5 hash. And it can only be de-coded on the server it originated from. Unless you could manage to figure out the rainbow tables they are using. The only way to de-code it on your computer would be through image recognition. Or if they where stupid enough to not encrypt the string that it matches to.

might be a stupid question, i dont know a lot about programming, bu what would happen for pages that didnt have a captcha, would that cause it to insert extraneous characters as if it tried to complete a captcha?
