Just about any word along the lines of 7 8 and 9 that you use to try to show superiority over another user, It's basically saying "Hey, I'm a dumbshit and have nothing to say because you are completely right, but I'll make myself sound smarter and like I actually know something by using the word bro to address you, bro."

Mate = Originally a german word, derived from the germanic word "māt" which means comrade. However, with trade travels and whatnot, the english changed that word into the now known "mate".
