Thread: [Guide] How to boost your Wifi Signal

If you're stealing your neighbors internet like I am, then you want to know how to get an excellent/good signal from a poor/fair signal.

1) Buy a high quality USB Wifi Adapter (Usually $20-60 on eBay).
2) Get a USB extender, (Usually $10-30 on eBay and other stores such as Amazon.)
3) Take the case off the USB adapter (This is because the casing sometimes makes your signal weaker, and only a few adapters have a case that can come off.
4) *Optional* Get a Wi-Fi Repeater and or antenna.
5) Find out where your signal is coming from, and direct the adapter towards the building, as close as possible (this is where you use the extender.)
6) Plug in the repeater/antenna if you haven't already.
7) Move around the adapter until you get a good/excellent signal.

Notes - this is extremely illegal, if your neighbors find out you are infact stealing their connection, they can call their ISP and have you fined/arrested, depending on country and if they knows its you (low chance.)
I usually set my adapter on a high chair or cabinet (the higher the better, the longer the better.)
