I'm half thai, so I decided to do something within my heritage.
http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-..._5177818_n.jpg http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-..._6111237_n.jpg Thai style sauteed chicken[seared on the grill and previously marinated], with onions, shitaki mushrooms, garlic, and a tangy tomato based basil, soy sauce, garlic and a hint of lemon juice. All over freshly cooked, white long grain, Thai jasmine rice.
The basil is Thai basil, and it was also used as a garnish. My grandma planted them in the backyard during her visit out here.
And for dessert,
http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-..._6802973_n.jpg http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-..._1467078_n.jpg A Fudge and Milk Chocolate glazed Eclair with Coconut citrus whipped cream filling. Powdered sugar on top too.
Altogether, this took me like 2 and a half hours, if not more. I hope you can enjoy[visually] the fruits of my labor. [The pepper on the entree's plate is just a garnish.]
Thanks! I'll post more if I have to.
EDIT: The two chips in the entree are just two asian shrimp chips for a garnish.
And the joke about blowing you all out of the water was in fact, just a joke.
