The logic is faulty.

This doesn't make sense.
If future humans will create a simulation, there will still be humans.
This means that there are past humans.
If there are past humans, why wouldn't we potentially be these past humans?

The logic is totally faulty.
It is a possibility, yes, but that doesn't mean it is more likely than not true.
