Because In the words of Souleater.
"We aren't dead. Only sick."
But I find this illness terminal, more members alone won't cure it.

A lot of regulars are getting themselves banned for god knows what reason. Not too many new members. I like the school idea.

Soon as some epic program comes out, some of the "old school" members will run back to LG to leech it and give it to other sites. Don't worry though, since they're old members, they're trusted.

I'm going to see if I can find something new and exciting.
I already got an idea that I think I'll post as far as gaya goes. @.@ It seems about the right time. It'll be in UG Bronze.☜(* x *)☞FOOL ON COOL GENERATION

Not many helpful members around and members willing to spend their time.
edit: a lot of immaturity at the wrong times, flamings, hackings, not enough real hacking or gaming talk, etc.

It's a mix of low activity, and the fact that many members are being banned because of rules that could be avoided adds to the problem.

-The Shitter (Agreed, to an extent, the fact the forum is based directly on attacking people is a bit extreme.)
-Senioritis (Almost everybody who posts in the JY is equal, besides Defy and such who is referred to as 'king', so I can agree that this is present, but not a reason we are empty.)
-Periods-(Wat.)
-N00bie new members(I don't see this awfully much, what I see is a lack of new members at all)
-Recreating banned members(Eh, not a big contributor to the lack of people)
-Spamming(Yep, too few people, not enough new people, people get bored, people spam to make up for the people they expect.)
-Trolling(Adding to the emptiness somewhat by scaring off new members who are easily intimidated, but shouldn't be banned, yet relocated to a place where it can be practiced.)

LG did get a new member today, but it was for the wrong reason. @.@
She contacted me from Gaya to ask me if I was really the same person she thought I was on gaia, who commented one of her photos ages ago.
Sort of stalking a stalker...should I try converting her?

New generation of leechers, and no coders.
School lol.
And in my case, I took an LG break for like half a year, and I come back and BOOM; everythings gone ._.
I am very surprised =(

I really think that the Spamming advertiser bot (Oh god help me from all the hate I will get) While it is a great piece of software and good thought by Bman. Will attract more spammers than contributors.
Spammers eat spam.
I find it to be a case of one hand on the bible, other in shit. I believe the only way to get surefire members is advertising to friends, who will advertise to friends.
Chain.

I agree with this. So perhaps if we belonged to another vbulletin site, then the bot would be much more effective there, where we'd be more well known?
I was thinking about this, and if I saw a new member talking about how great and amazing a site was and wanted me to join it, I wouldn't even finish reading the name before I went to a different thread.
It is an amazing bot though Maybe a different approach?☜(* x *)☞FOOL ON COOL GENERATION

Idk what you're trying to create here?
A social networking sort of forum?
Or a forum dedicated to fucking up other internet sites lol.
BMan's idea is a good one, and I do get what you're saying
but we need to help ourselves before we help others.
Make an effort to code, create, bypass and pretty much fuck up any site out there.
After we establish a good foundation, then we recruit.
We don't want a high member count and pointless spam. We want dedicated individuals who will spend time developing and helping this hacking community.

The thought of only recruiting people we know opposed to using a bot to advertise random sites is one to benefit us.
I'm not trying to make a social networking site, only trying to avoid a site full of spam.
And also, it'd give us a bad reputation if the only way we're seen getting members is using a bot.
I repeat, Bman was amazing for making it, but the approach is less than extraordinary.
