You revamp it to your own style.
You should try and expand on the iconic riff, but just a little and keep it simple.
The chords are a chuck berry kind of blues so it wouldn't be hard to turn it into a rock song if you picked up the pace with the vocals and rocked up the rhythm. You could even go to a Sabbath metal feel if you want with some work.
Changing the lyrics some torks.

I'd drop the chuck berry hammer on chord part and paired kind of thing.
Rather than dun-dun-da-da, I'd skip da-da and go dundun--dundun, and kind of swing the rhythm, on the break down/turn around you could just diamond(play them once and hold them for the measure) the chords
