Strangely enough, I still read the longest running manga of all time: Kochira Katsushika-ku Kameari Kouen-mae Hashutsujo. It's already over 1,500 chapters, I don't even bother buying the volumes (158...). I will buy them once the series completes, and they're sold in a set at a bargain price.
