'Tis not even that bad.
I lol'd at school today when people said it made abortions allowed and government funded.
This plan that passed isn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be.
The plan before and after both have some goods and bads to them, it's partly the republicans and democrats to blame.
The democrats had to remove alot of good, working policies that where in the new health care plan to please the republicans, the result was a passing of a bill that could have been better.
Political parties are bullshit, the fact that America's future is up to the fact that more republicans or democrats in office instead of what they actually think is sickening.

edit: also i've made it quite clear that i'm more concerned in the manner it was passed. although i still do not agree with nor support the bill.Last edited by Jdawg; 22 Mar. 2010 at 11:14pm.

obviously i haven't, that would be like reading a multi thousand page book. but yes i have read up and i have accurate sources, not hear-say sources. and yeah your right, but apparently noone else knows that the government is shady. until now. this was taking it over the limit. and they didn't even try to hide this. they openly stated that they make the rules along the way.

Accurate as in bias accurate? Or actually accurate, because that does make a difference.
I think everyone knows the government is shady, I just don't people pay attention until it actually effects them. In any case that's the government for you, it's not like we didn't vote the president into office.
All hail kitty pig.
- 22 Mar. 2010 11:34pm #92
what does bias have anything to do with it? i'm not talking about info from the anti democrat or anti republican tv stations that will say anything to make the other look bad. im talking about mostly from what obama himself has said. and other representatives that have read the bill

"The Health Care Plan is to be written by a committee whose Chairman says he doesn't understand it, passed by a Congress which hasn't read it, signed by a President who smokes, funded by a Treasury Secretary who did not pay his taxes, overseen by a Surgeon General who is obese, and financed by a country that is nearly broke. What could possibly go wrong?" by Dr. Jeffrey Miron

I probably should have replied to the part where someone said it funds abortion. 'Cause it doesn't. Unless they changed it recently.

It doesn't directly but the "community health centers" it establishes leave that kind of choice up to the doctors and since the center is funded by tax dollars, the people are potentially funding abortions. The loop hole is supposed to be addressed in the Senate. Also the thing that makes them have to look for that loop hole and others i an executive order that is shit and can be undone by the president in an instant. No vote, now warning, just gone.
- 23 Mar. 2010 10:02pm #106
I'm pretty sure it specifically states that it doesn't cover abortions. Unless doctors are making a flat rate instead of a per-patient/per-process income, I see no loopholes.

There wouldn't be a "loophole" if the abortion policy was in the bill. Seeing as how they apparently removed that part, it's not really a loophole if it's allowed.

Good for you liberal lazy assholes. An I hope that when the system your on get jammed with people and you can't see the doctor you all suffer some horrid painful illness and when the government tells you its more cost effective to let you die I hope you die slowly, crying in vain "But we have health care?!"
- 24 Mar. 2010 01:01am #114
I think it is funny how most of the people I know who oppose the bill are leeching off of welfare. lol

Wow coffin what's with the hostility no need to be a dick. All he said was that he was liberal and that he had health care before this. I think you're getting way to upset about this. Besides not everyone's parents support them and pays their sisters way through college. Lmao
There are some of us whrk our asses off but can't afford shit because we are poor, because we have these bills. You try getting thrown on the street when your 17 with chronic health problems and living off of 15$ a month for food because the rest went to bills. Not the unnecessary kind either, I'm talking rent (417$), health insurance (250$), and car insurance (105$), anything left went to food. I ate once a day at my job that's about it. Fuck I didn't even have enough to cover the 25$ copay to see the doctor, and if my mom wasn't cool enough to have let me stay on her plan my health insurance would have been about 320 - 400$ since I have "prior conditions". So tell me sir, how the hell does that make me a lazy fuck?
All hail kitty pig.

The hostility is I'm very angry about this whole load of bullshit. I'm angry about having to pay for someone else. You take from me and I don't like you any more. I'm angry that Obama gets on tv and says "if you wrote to me it was not in vain, you were heard." My voice was not heard and I'm angry that those who opposed this were complacent and let it pass. Son I'm angry and going to do something about it.
Sucks to be you. It ain't my problem if you can't pay and it sure as hell shouldn't be. You're young you don't even need healthcare. Can't afford car insurance, then sell the car and ride the bus. I lived exactly like you when I wasn't living at home. I dropped all the spending I could and had two job and was playing bars at night, then on the weekend I did yard work and odd job. So I could have some comforts. I came home because I got feed up with it when they let the Bush tax cuts expire and started to talk about these new taxes for healthcare and all my extra work meant nothing suddenly and I lost my comforts(by that I mean I had cable and got to run the air condition and take a hot shower and eat decent food.)
Also my sister is in high school jag off and I'm paying for my college and rent and for food and amenities, no one is taking care of me. Grant it I'm doing better at home since I get to use my parents stuff and am paying less but I'm still paying.

Lol Seriously I just realize there is nothing I can say to you to make you understand. In the end you're a very selfish person. I suppose you and I are greatly different I'd give my last dollar to some one who really needed it, you wouldn't throw a quarter to the poor if you were sitting on a hill of money.
I'm not going to go threw and explain my medical conditions to you because well that would take forever. Honestly I have to chalk it up to you'll never understand because you'll never be able to see outside of yourself.
I feel sorry for people like you.
All hail kitty pig.

I'd gladly give to the poor and those who need it if I get to make the choice of when and how much. I can't support being forced to though, I don't support being told when or how much to give. I'd rather choose who, when, where, and how much. Not have it preordained for me. As long as you want to force me to give as much as you want when you want then I don't care if you get run over by a truck or what kind of medical problems you have. I want freedom, no matter the cost. If I work hard for my money its mine, not yours. If I choose to give you some then its my choice no one else's.
You feel sorry for me. I feel sorry for you. You're going to go along with giving up your freedom and possessions so that government can decide who get what and how much and when.
