And learning the scales on my guitar, starting with shifting the Pentatonic scale.
At the moment, going at 120 bps, I can go A(fifth fret), to E minor(twelfth fret) to E major (9th fret) with minor mix ups about once every 3 runs.
Still working on going down, then back up though.
Alsrking on just jamming on the scales individually, gonna work on switching later on.

All you need is the pentatonic scale, learn the major and minor shape and how relative positions work. Know the notes on the neck and in your scales and then you are set to play. Every other scale is just icing on the cake. If you really want to look at more then look at the 8 note dominate scale, realize its the combination of a major and minor pentatonic scales and that you don't need to know it separately from them. From there I would say learn the 5 major scales so that the neck is organized in C, then learn about modes, then rock faces. (I only recently figured out modes and am relearning the neck in C major scales so I can play mode-ally).
I can teach you all this for the most part if you want. The real learning will come from playing with tracks though.
*side note: I played Smoke On The Water last night while I was trying to come up with an original solo to it.

I'm supposed to give Raivu a lesson today via video chat
On a side note: you need to practice with the metronome at 80 bpm in 8th notes, then 16th notes, then 8th note triplets and learn sequencing. Your escalating to 120bpm is most likely cause you're playing 4th notes, unless you just have crazy speed for some reason.
