I like many others online simply can't resist a steam sale.
The value for money on steam sales has definitely dropped over the years and a lot less effort seems to go into the events themselves but I always seem to fall victim to it anyway and add some games to my library that I will likely never play and this year is no exception.
So far I've bought Stardew Valley, Life is strange and Lightning returns (XIII) and I'm debating buying Firewatch too and who knows, maybe more as the sale progresses.
I'm assuming some have you have also been snared by this trap and I'm curious to see what games you've bought this year if any.

Update: Life is Strange and Firewatch have now both been completed and I've got to say I quite enjoyed both of them. I think Life is Strange is my favourite of the two though if I had to choose. They both had their problems but I felt that Life is Strange did a better job of getting me invested in the characters. That's not to say I didn't feel invested in the characters in Firewatch though. I just thought the game wasn't long enough for me to properly get invested.
I would recommend anyone who hasn't picked either of these up to give them a go though as I found both of them quite enjoyable. If you're the kind of person that only plays casually or isn't looking for something that's going to require a lot of work then I'd go with Firewatch as I managed to complete that in an afternoon. If you're looking for something a bit more substantial then Life is Strange is the way to go.
Both of these games have been out for some time now so I'm sure there will be some opinions out there that contrast mine but I figured I'd share my thoughts.
