I have a copy of this that my stepdad gave me. It wouldn't run on his computer, and it wouldn't run on mine either. Not sure if it's a graphics card problem or not. But in case it is, do a little background check on the minimum specs for the game. I can play CS1.6 and even HL2 (albeit the loading screens takes a good 15 minutes), but DoD just wouldn't load.

If you can play HL2, then you should have absolutely no problem with DoD. I have the entire HL series as well, but I can't play anything after HL2. Thus I can't f'ing wait for my new laptop so I can be 3 years behind everyone else in terms of HL storyline knowledge. >_>

Running Day of Defeat in my opion relies more on the processor that the graphics car, my other computer had a 1GB graphics car and could not run it because of a Dou 1.6GHz processor.
