Wii sucks for shooting games, they are for like Mario games and shit like that. Zelda is decent, Mario Galaxy is pretty good too, but thats pretty much it. If you want to play shooters just go out and buy a 360.

For me there were two option ever to play FPS or any kind of shooting games: PC and Wii. I don't care how amazing the graphics, the story, the characters, etc in any game. From the N64 trough Xbox to the PS 3, on every consol I played, except Wii, FPS sucked for me, but it's only my opinion.
I have CoD World at War, and my fiancé got the remote out of my hand, when he first saw me playing. Until that he was a complete anticonsolist. From that on, I cannot play CoD on Wii, when he is here, because then HE has to play it on wifi. >.<
If you want to play with a zapper, then you have to know, it was only good for me for shooters, where you don't have to control your character, you only shoot.
I'd recommend you to always watch some gameplay videos on Youtube, before getting a game (either buying r downloading, lol).
Some of my personal favorites (I dunno what kinda stuff you love so I tried to gather more kinda things):
Endless Ocean (No point, just relax and swim in the ocean, get to know animals, gathering items)
Raving Rabbids(hilarious minigame collection, including shooter games with the famous plunge gun)
CoD World at War
Monster Hunter Tri (amazing RPG, playable both offline and online, amazing places and monsters, which look like dinos)
Zelda Twilight Princess (again amazing RPG, filled with both action and hard puzzles inside dungeons, a must have if you love RPGs)
Tales of Symphonia (jRPG, filled with nice anime video cutscenes, one of the famous "Tales" games)
Star Wars Force Unleashed (ONLY if you like butchering and butchering in only one direction AND you really like SW else it sucks :-D)
Battalion Wars 2 (hard control, but if you learn it it's nice-somewhere between strategy and shooting games, you can control flight, water and ground units, on and offline)
Excite Truck (NO reality at all. Huuuuge jumps, big crashes, rings in the air, trucks turning 720 degrees in air. I hate car games, but this one rocks )
Super Smash Bros (what else is good than hitting all those cuuuute and annoying characters hard in the head to make them fly away? :-D)
That's all for now. Hope I helped.Last edited by Ladyvip; 10 Nov. 2010 at 03:35am.

@rygaku Are you stupid? It says WII not the ds. You mean soft-mod/hard mod.
CoD Black Ops is good for the Wii as you can use the Classic Controller Pro but i tend to use the wiimote and Nunchuck. And shooters on the wii is a lot easier than it seems. Don't hate it before you try it. Before I played FPS games on the wii i was like, "What? CoD on the wii? Thats gay." Then when i tried it, it was pretty awesome. CoD games on Wii is more precise than ps3 and 360. Although the leave the good stuff out of the wii version like graphics/maps/guns/SPLIT-SCREEN. Come on Treyarch and IW, the Wii is powerful enough to even beat latest gen ps2 graphics. Look a SMG(even if that game was bad IMO) the graphics are incredible and looks HD. It seems like the 4 GB of the game is mostly all motion control data barely gameplay or graphics. SMG1&2 was under 2 GB... And yes i am aware that they run on different engines, i'm not that stupid.
Games i recommend are:
CoD black ops (With classic controller pro if you are used to the ps3 version)
SSBB
Mario Kart
Tatsunoko vs Capcom (If you like fighters)
Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon. (Favorite game for its awesome story & Music XD)
Monster Hunter Tri
@CRoWNMoDz Alex
Have you even played CoD on the Wii? And 360 for fps? I think you mean a good PC! Oh and i hate SMG, its so boring, you can't even punch. The only good thing about that game is the graphics. Would rather pull out my n64 and play Mario 64.
