Well since no one seems to be looking at the "Half life" hacks... and since it's not necessarily a half life hack, i am reposting this here....
Click here to find out more about the Steam Crack
On a more related Note, I would like to know what game everyone has, in order that I could partake in a friendly match with someone ^_^

Although I just reinstalled steam and bought Garry's Mod today I don't fancy risking it, good find though.

Usually these cracks only get you into server's that do not user Vac security, or are illegitimate servers.
@Izzy
I think of STEAM as funnel.
Multiple game companies go to steam with their games, they pay STEAM to sell their games as part of the "STEAM Network" or STEAM franchises their game. STEAM then pay's back the original game owners money for every purchase.
Kind of like Nexon, Ijji, Etc.
Just STEAM is a lot bigger.Last edited by Chris; 18 Nov. 2009 at 10:58pm.

This is pretty much spot on, Valve started using Steam before it was popular so they didn't have to pay an elite gaming shop a commission along side that they don't have to waste money on resource like discs and cases.
Valve decided they would let people downloaded it on Steam a week before the release in stores and it was successful so lots of other companies started doing it. Eventually everyone will do it and we won't have to rely on corporate scum like Gamestop. Plus these reduced costs on there side would most probably result in slightly cheaper games for use to purchase.
Note: I'm sure there where a lot more reasons why steam became such a success but that was one of the larger reasons.

The list of games, those are games you can download by clicking on the install button. Other games not listed will pop up a "The steam servers are currently too busy to handle your request" error, and to download those games you need the GCF files for them. The mega upload is a tool to figure out the gcf files you need for any game so that you can find it.
