well i been addicted to the spyro series latley after i got into it again after playing one of hte Spyro games on the DS at my neighbors. but onto the point
Im into playing the Spyro series at the moment but i dont have a playstation 2 or 3 (which are required to play a majority of the games out other than the DS and GBA)
And im wondering if i should buy the PS2 or the PS3 since i been asking around if you can play AND save PS2 games on the PS3 without problems.
According to 1 person they say you cant but another person is saying that you CAN (because apparently the PS3 has "Digital" memory cards for the PS2) kinda like an emulator can for the PS1.
... so ... does the PS3 have the capability of Playing and saving PS2 games on the PS3?

PS3 backward compatibility:
PlayStation (all models)
PlayStation 2 (20 GB, 60 GB, and some CECHExx 80 GB models)
If you can play the games, then you can save them.
