admins may have the strongest power but if you look on gaia there is a bunch of different types of mods

my question is which one is allowed to unban account and ban accounts other then admins

Well we can safely say that forum moderators don't have that power. If I'm wrong please correct me.

Of course there is going to be a few different types. I wouldn't doubt it, and the fact you're reading up on it helps a lot. I'm too lazy. Either way, getting back on subject, I'd think the only moderator who could ban/unban someone would be the Admin, but that would be too much work on his/her part. I'm sure there are several types of moderators which can ban/unban people. I'm sure there are moderators that don't have colored names as well.

you have to been 6 months old to apply

have 300 posts and reported 100 reports in order to apply for mod

if you have good behavior and all you might get a chance to go into training where you'll have to give personal info to get in and if you give any false info you get permabanned just like that and you can't reapply either or banned you only get one chance to be a mod there and if you abuse your power you get banned to

Those aren't that bad of standards. If I became a moderator I'd be a legit one. I wouldn't attempt anything. If I got bored, or tired of playing, I'd attempt to scam people.

That's correct, but like I said previously, it'd be possible to have a moderator without a colored name. I mean, it makes sense when you think about how fast you get banned these days when you attempt to scam.

If this is true, I think it'd be best not to let everyone know. I'd keep this quiet unless everyone on here already knows. You have to think about it. Artificial would have crowds of noobs messaging him in hopes for their account to have it's ban removed. It'd be a relapse of what happened when people kept asking Plobby for a name change.

1 - its a hack way of getting in

2nd - its on youtube so gaia will see theres a hack now for being mods and upgrade their security or servers or whatever they have to do to stop it

3rd - since the video shows how he does it basically the gaia people can figure it out on how hes doing it and prevent him from doing it

one way or another its not 100% gonna last

It wouldn't matter if it lasted. It'd be useful if you have items on the account you want to trade to a mule. The mule would probably get banned in the process, but it's worth a shot.

it would be useful to lose your account in minutes or a day thats hacking their server basically they'll shut you down once they see it and fix it

its like hacking google you can do it for a short while till they fix it and kick you out

I think Omni Moderators and higher can unban accounts.
Omni Mods are responsible for banning accounts so maybe they can also unban accounts.

Firstly, Omni, Global, Admins, Devs, Gaia Staff, and all the Leads can BAN/UNBAN.

Secondly it's not a "moddog" tool. It's in admin.

@Raivu: ...................lmfao. So basically you've NEVER been on Gaia if you can't answer RATHER OR NOT GAIA USES WEBPAGES. lmao. You can't use any sort of privilege escalation attack because Gaia is not Windows. ADMIN=1!!!!! Doesn't work. It gives you a session ID. They use that to reference your account, your account has a set User Level (8 for regular users, 12 for FAs, 56 for mods) and with that it decides rather or not you're able to do shit. Theoretically, dev's are the highest, rather those permissions are actually set like that is a different story.

Also Webpages = HOSTED BY SERVER DAEMONS. Typically Apache but also Lighttpd. Next you're gunna be asking if it uses TCP.

As soon as one of you unban another account with a mod, the mod info will be instantly banned or info changed if they notice the out of order IP.

Not true. Me and G3 unbanned a few accounts once and I was able to move the shit around for a while before they realized it. O but yeah if you login to a staff account nowadays expect to meet IP VERIFICATION!!!!11 Where they email the Staff member to verify the "new" IP you're logging in from. So good luck with that one.

It would be pointless to ask a mod to do so, Gaia's admin probably can track what one mod is doing. im sure you catch what I'm saying and where its leading; my point though is people should just forget about this subject about unlocking locked accounts. Every way you'd look at it, there would be some sort of issue stopping the process and/or holding you back. Also, even if you change your IP, there still are ways of tracking a person. Btw does Gaiaonline have an automatic program that kinda does something like that... like a security program that specializes in that field?

lmfao if just 1 LG member became an omni mod gaia would be fucked up for quite a long time (unless its a noob that could barely work a glitch with a full guide)

but the mod application requires pretty much everything and theyd probably know if you were a LG member lol

cause you need to have never cheated or hacked with ur ip and never logged into your main using a proxy then your phone number, address and everything that they check

i hardly believe that because mods don't really spy on us. i think they spy on the bots. and we can try to guess thier password by clues ;D But either way you still have to be a mod to use these utilities.
