Account hacked

I was about to buy some Gaia Cash when I tried to log in and my password didn't work. I also tried to change the password by uing my email address, in which didnt exist in the database.

That was very odd as I KNOW that THAT was my account's email address ;-;

I looked up to see if the username was changed but it wasn't. My username is still the same but the person who hacked my account has totally changed the way my avatar looks

I've already reported it but I'm not sure how the process goes as this hasn't happened to me before.

How long will it take for them to give me my account back? Also, do they actually give my account back?

(Unless anyone else here can help me get it back since the user hasn't changed? I 'unno.)

All I wanted was to do art commissions and buy GC. I've made a new account now but I've gotta wait for about 3 days until I can get my trading pass



I know this has happened to a TON of people as well but I want to know your experiences as well

I doubt you'll get it back.
When i was a nooblet i'd submit reports and the only time i got my stuff back was when i guessed the password (happened 3-4 times, usually got more than my stuff back )

Gaia takes very long to reply to reports and give everything Back :/ when i got scammed and i reported all my items (back on days when 1m was alot) i was worth about 5m so i told them my items(that one i remember that i had) and that i had 2m gold and they took 3 mothns to give all the back

Wasn't me, maybe if this was two years ago, just kidding if I could take anybody's account what makes yours so special. You probably entered your information someplace, which really sucks. Gaia needs to make you verify via email that you want to change your email as a security measure. It depends on how busy the mods are and if you stay on their ass. My friend got unbanned when she got banned for simply ghosting my illegit items on a mule and got her shit back.. by the time this happened she has multiple millions again already which back in my day was a lot. Never tried to SE for an account to be given to me so I have no experience knowing how long it could take but, chances are you'll get it back.
