Any good items to hoard now?

Depends. If people are expecting deflation, it may be a good idea to cash out and sell everything. If you keep expecting inflation, get the promos or whatever items aren't being spawned into the market to create this inflation in the first place.

If there was a good item to hoard wouldnt someone just keep it to themselfs?

If by gold rigs you mean the items that give millions once opened, then Im pretty sure a good bit of the inflation is coming from them selling off 10's-20's-40's-100's of them for as cheap as $10-$20 so pretty much gaia is just trying to make more money then the people trying to sell 50-100 mil for a certain amount, pretty much unless they just wipe everyones gold the economy is gone on gaia and its worthless now /:

03 MCs are great to hoard right now, but I'm unsure about it since they might get a new RIG that get's you the 03 items...
I'm hoarding 100s of event items right now.

I've never tried in Gaia, but I did it in Team Fortress 2 and it got me like $3,000 in Steam Wallet/PayPal. Granted, that is over like 3 years, and it equates to way less than minimum wage, so I wouldn't recommend it as a job. I just did it on the side of an awesome game, and I wouldn't consider Gaia as addicting. But it can be worth it. With an automated market like Gaia, buying low and selling high is extremely fast and easy. You just have to be good at predicting which items. Simply, if there's a pattern in the market's behavior - which there is - then it's predictable to an extent.
