Yea, some subforums, like the public programs subforum of Gaia. This way to ward off leechers from other sites that are similar to LG and to ward off (possibly..) Gaia Staff from patching things quicker. However I believe some of the users here aren't just users here

Other people steal your stuff? =/ Do they try to sell it or something? I can't really see any benefit to it, you don't seem to charge for it from what I can see. So to collect it and give it away free else ware seems stupid.
