are admins smarter than everyone here
- 01 Aug. 2013 06:25pm #2
I am guessing that it is server sided and not done by the Admins themselves? I doubt that it is "Patched" though. The programmers in these forums have the skill levels of the the developers that work for Gaia and are incredibly intelligent...and probably just do not wish to waste their time with obsolete programs like Rally clients, which hold absolutely zero usefulness.

yes
Not really. Only person I can think of here who fits that bill is Artificial. Dude has tons of experience and is actually a pretty smart guy.
That said, in terms of speaking strictly intelligence I'm sure there could perhaps be a few people here who are smarter or as smart as some of gaia staff. For the most part there are 16 year old kids who play gaia here, so...Last edited by The Unintelligible; 01 Aug. 2013 at 07:22pm.

I was joking around with one of my friends saying that Gaia should fire most of it's current developers and hire the best logicalgamer programmers / hackers. IE: Arti, Gamecheif, Tree, etc.
1. They would patch any exploits
2. If anyone hacked Gaia, tree would probably use Gaia to DDoS their whole system into oblivion.

Er. Those aren't the best hackers. Or programmers. Or whatever you want to call them.
GAMEchief is strictly a web dev, and doesn't and never has done gaia programming for the most part.
Artificial. You've never seen work from him so how can you determine this? Artificial hasn't posted code in a while (like in months to years maybe). That said probably the best programmer here IMO.
Tree is decent but doesn't have the skill set or motivation/drive to become a gaia dev. He has offered to help the devs before. So has his friends (Doc or Lain I think). They were shot down. Declined.
Taking code apart/dissecting it/exploiting/etc is one thing. Building it is another. Gaia online isn't so simplistic. There are avatar based sites out there that have tried and failed to do what gaia has done over the years.

Hence why I said "was joking with a friend". Obviously it would never happen.
The idea of having hackers as your developers is just kinda funny.
