I don't get why someone would waste $1000 on some virtual item, pretty stupid to me.
I wonder if they think someones actually going to buy it.
- 02 Jul. 2013 05:45pm #6
There were at least 12+ confirmed sales.
Probably closer to 20.

The thing is, the Angelic Halo is by no means a flashy item. The thing that made it valuable is that it is the first monthly collectible on Gaia and that few people had it.
It doesn't have that kind of sentimental value anymore now that it's up for grabs for anyone wanting to buy it. Therefore I personally wouldn't spend a dime on it let alone like $1000 dollars.I'm lightning on my feet

The people that bought it are probably rich white kids that have nothing better to spend their money on
- 02 Jul. 2013 08:15pm #9
Gaia is just desperate for money

Would never do that, thats just idiotic.
- 07 Jul. 2013 08:42am #12
Wow is it really that expensive? I had one of these on my old account before I got banned ):

They do this quite a lot recently. It's really stupid but smart. Gaia is smart because they make a thousand bucks for a few pixel on their website. and people are stupid for buying it. That's the case with stuff in real life too. companies sell stuff for ridiculous amounts of money, and stupid people buy them. its life. can't blame the company for trying to make money.

Meh, I've always found the Angelic Halo to be an ugly item really.
It rarely fit any avatar designs and colour schemes I used to make with it.
Oh how I miss item exploits.
Maybe if gaia released a new fucking feature once in a millennium I might find another.
- 25 Jul. 2013 03:00am #17
Yeah the value of the A Halo was never really in the appearance. It was the sentimental value. Which it has way less of these days.
There has been plenty of item exploits in your (I assume) absence. Also more exploits in general. Just way less than there was back in Gaia's glory days.I'm lightning on my feet

My absence has mainly been in LG and not Gaia.
I go on Gaia Occasionally.
In fact if you remember -
Harmful Haze
Exploited alchemy and Tiles not too long ago.
I lasted around 1-2 years with those exploits, but I got too greedy and made the bloody wings now didn't I?
A mod found out and bam, pretty much within a few weeks of doing that I was banned.
Shame, I was having fun running a charity with unlimited funding.
Although I'm not saying those were the only exploits.
I'm sure there are much more experienced members in LG whom are better than me at sniffing these out who have found quite a lot of them.
And yeah, the reason why there are way less now is because there are less features being thrown out as a whole.
The two newest features which were decent that I can remember were:
Tiles
Alchemy
and I managed to exploit them both.
Gaia isn't wiser with security, it's just that there are less features to exploit the security with.
Plus it seems like the test servers are secure now so I doubt I'll be getting into them again.
Yep, the angelic halo was a fugly item and always will be.
Now even the sentimental value has gone to shit, GG Gaia.
Although I have to say I do like the look of those wings in club verge - in the end they're just recolours and expensive bloody ones at that.Last edited by Hazerofdoom; 25 Jul. 2013 at 03:07am.

I can see why they'd charge allot since the angelic halo is a rarity, although i'm sure it will stay a rarity.

Yet the world somehow hasn't caught itself on fire yet.

I saw someone in rally today who actually did buy it, his user was PkRs
- 31 Aug. 2013 07:10pm #34
First of all I do not agree with what they did , because its so unfair to members that got them when they came out / bought them off the market when they where for sale . but yes its freeking bs they would do that ( i herd there doing more items like that :
- 05 Sep. 2013 06:29am #35
