I'm a little more upset than I expected. Mostly because I got banned for a BS reason not related to why I should have been banned (botting). If they banned me for botting I think I'd be way more ok about it.
Welp. 100+ mill gone. About 75 of that from vend botting since December and the rest from hoarding (investing my bot money so I guess even that money wasn't really legit)
Around February my best friend got banned for insulting a mod for pretty much being a grade A douche bag. He had one petition denied. And then a week ago he got a second petition denied. So I made a long thread in support of friend explaining what happened and showing PMs from mods. They deleted the thread. They didn't ban me then. But today, a few days later, I got banned. The email said real world trading. I PMed a mod to get a more specific reason. Apparently, last year, and I don't even recall this, someone made a thread saying they wanted to buy Gaia accounts. I posted that I would sell them mine for ten billion dollars. And that is what I was banned for today.
So after all of that botting I get banned in some sort of stalinist censorship purge instead.
I think I'm quitting gaia for good but I've said that before and always come back so idk. But this is the first time I've actually been banned.

Being banned is liberating. It forces you to stop caring about their stupid little items and focus more on having fun. Now you can do whatever you want on Gaia without having to think "Will this get me banned?" because you won't lose anything if your new account is banned.

I guess, it's just that I used Gaia for like... the stuff it's meant to be used for. Being a fugitive has its romance too, but I cared about its little items and stuff for their own sake. And I'd been around a while and had some rep built up. Idk if I'd have as much fun without that stuff. But, guess I'll just have to find out. I actually haven't really played Gaia in like a month anyways except for the things I mentioned in the OP.
No, but why do I get that question so often? Seriously people who don't know me refer to me as 'she' all the time on the internet
Well I meant appeal actually. He appealed his ban twice for calling a mod a cuntlicker. Said mod had been provoking him for a while by rather rudely making fun of his music tastes im zOMG.Last edited by cyanide; 30 Jun. 2013 at 08:39am.

Mods/Admins they are super sensitive about their repetition and are ego maniacs..
*stay away from them and bot all day.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

For the past few years Gaia will permaban you just based off suspicion or buying illegit items from someone. It has actually gotten to the point once where you couldn't even gift friends items even if you were completely legit because Gaia would just assume you couldn't possibly want to give a friend an expensive item. You have the mod wannabes running around on Gaia saying people who get banned obviously did something to deserve it, but really it could just be buying an item off someone or some random stranger gifting you an item.
In this case it was most likely deserved though.

Yeah I've heard some other weird things, too. Apparently they don't temp ban, ever. And apparently they can't actually unlock banned accounts. If you win a ban appeal you have to make a new account and they restore your items to it. And your chance of winning a ban appeal is about .00001% if they even look at your ticket.
Well yeah I would have deserved a cheating ban. But the official reason for my banning is offering to buy someone's account for 10 billion dollars. Which they only decided to punish apparently after they nitpicked through all of the posts I've ever made after I spoke out against their banning policies. In my eyes that's not a legitimate banning, although in the end they did catch a botter without even intending to.
