There used to be a guide on how to create
a fake download. I'm sure it has to be a virus,
but i cannot find the guide.
It isn't only used for gaia, but mainly it was.
You would put the link to the download in a video on youtube,
and they would download it,
and on ***.com you would receive the passwords and such.

are you talking about a program called Istealer?

Could be talking about a number of things.
- Phishing program. Person sees the video on YouTube and downloads a program that requires them to enter their username and password into the program. When they push the submit button, they think they are getting something like gold or items, when really it sends whatever they put into the boxes to your e-mail address. This can be made very easily in Visual Basic.
- 'Stealer' programs. Most common one talked about here is iStealer. This is a program that, when downloaded and executed, will immediately grab all of a users saved browswer logins/passwords, and send them to your e-mail OR your ftp. They can also grab product keys, instant messenger logins, and more.. Depends on the stealer you have.
- Keyloggers. These don't send you their details immediately, but when somebody downloads and executes this file, it records everything they type on the keyboard and then sends it to you. You can easily find when people type in their usernames and passwords with this, not just for Gaia but for anything that they log in to.
Hope this helped..
If you need help setting something up, LMK.
Also, stealers/keyloggers need to be crypted so that anti-virus programs won't pick them up so easily, and you can get more 'victims'.
My 'fake' youtube videos are in the top spots for some of the most popular Gaia search phrases ^_^Last edited by axe; 05 Jul. 2011 at 11:55am.
