If you want a decent amount of gold, team up with some strong people on zOMG, and farm at high level areas, Basken Lake is a good place, especially with the Papa Saw missions. You can get a few thousand a go there. The higher you go, the more gold you can earn eventually.

I think the OP meant the easiest, way to earn gold with a guarantee, the Arenas are very far from a guarantee, you have a 1XXXX chance of winning, and your avatar has to be shit-hot. There are other ways to earn large amounts of gold, with a guarantee.
