Hey was just playing around typing random passwords in when up pops the cpatcha, now i think would clearing my cookies get rid of the captcha? Obviously i didnt think it would work but it did so i was thinking if anyone could be bothered to since lately i got too much work to do at uni, adding a feature to the crackers that clears your cookies or in firefox private data every three attempts. yes it would be a slow proccess but hey at least it would work.

Well you can change your MAC address of your computer/router and get a new IP, but if he's asking if cookies can fix it I doubt he has that knowledge...

actually i do have some knowledge in that area since im using my PC on a uni network that after so much DL and UL it limits or cuts you off, so i use my PC address to use torrents and i then switch my settings over to that of my xbox and use the net with no limits.

Windows:
Click on "Start" in the bottom left hand corner of screen.
Click on "Run".
Type in "command" and hit Okay. You should now be at an MSDOS prompt screen.
Type "ipconfig /release" and hit "Enter". This will disable your internet connection. To undo it, type "ipconfig /renew".
Type "exit" and leave the prompt.
Right-click on "Network Places" or "My Network Places" on your desktop.
Click on "Properties". You should now be on a screen with something titled "Local Area Connection", or something close to that, and, if you have a network hooked up, all of your other networks.
Right-click on "Local Area Connection" and click "Properties".
Double-click on the "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)" from the list under the "General" tab.
Click on "Use the following IP address" under the "General" tab.
Create an IP address. (It doesn't matter what it is.)
Press "Tab" and it should automatically fill in the "Subnet Mask" section with default numbers.
Click the "Ok" button.
Click the "Ok" button. You should now be back to the "Local Area Connection" screen.
Right-click back on "Local Area Connection" and go to properties again.
Go back to the "TCP/IP" settings.
Select "Obtain an IP address automatically".
Click the "Ok" button.
Click the "Ok" button.
You now have a new IP address (grabbed from: http://www.wikihow.com/Change-your-IP-Address-(Windows) )
I'm not sure how you would do it on a Mac. Try searching it because I cant find it. Hope this helped. Even though it wont change anything since a captcha is random and not based on anything except the databases on gaia.Last edited by Souleater; 29 Nov. 2009 at 04:04am.

also if you have an xbox, connect to the net and go to its network section, copy the IP, subnet, gateway and both DNS and go to the TC/IP setting and fill them in with your xbox settings. Your now running your PC as an xbox.
