So there's a scam where you sell lotto tickets and then just say your mule won. This is now bannable if you don't use their random number generator.
Would a first-post-on-page-500 lottery be more gaia-legal and have 10 mules spam via a script or something on about the 500th page?

Hmm i would say thats more gaia legal but it sucks that the lottery scam is bannable tho.... I say you have to roll 2, 6-sided die and get 1 XD (Its not possible)

No, its still "gaia bannable" as you put it. they have IP logs and login logs so they would know if it was your account. And since the lotto scam is no "gaia bannable" i dont see any reason on trying to get a variation.
@Dice thing: that wouldnt work since it is totally randomized and gaia would detect firebug or tmprdata.Voted Hottest Male Member

But no matter how you do it, it is still bannable because they know who logs into the account of the person who hosts it, and the account of who wins it.

which there is no logical/legal variation that can be done the the gaia staff hasnt thought about. seriously. if you sit and think about, the best ideas you come up with wont be good enough to trick them.
dont get me wrong, we're smarter than gaia is, but they see any and every variation to get the better of them on a daily basis.Voted Hottest Male Member

which literally means nothing. all that means is that your thread got under the radar, nothing more. luck.
fact is, gaia staff is watching those threads now (as much as they can) to catch scams. you just got lucky.
if you want to get away with scams, reinvest in a good PM scam with a good script to alter your avatar's "credentials" and start scamming that way. this lotto thing, is gonna be under firing lines for a while.Voted Hottest Male Member

Its better to do the 1st poge on x page method. It more precise and can get you to what you want. And if someone else wins, then just change the topic title! lol

of which all actions would be logged by the gaia staff on the mod CP, and so it would be a moot point to change the title.
this does not work any more, and if it does it is 100% pure luck. the gaia staff has ways to catch this sorta thing and they will. believe me, this scam is o.b.s.o.l.e.t.e. deal with it, move on, find a new scam.Voted Hottest Male Member

why not use a cabal of people dedicated to nothing but lottery scams, and having IPs that change randomly. Make new mules to do it every so often and make them play the winner. Splitting the profit would be quite equitable. This might work due to the logging principle that Gaya uses to track the IP where an account was created. With this, they'll might catch someone only if they get lucky.
Using multiple people in this is most likely the best way of keeping it fresh, along with the IP bit.My contributions:

For all the stuff that happens around here, LG itself is always remarkably unchanged. Thanks to the folks who still remembered I was once here and welcomed me back despite me being retarded.

I knew that it would be workable. Now all we need to do is put together people who're willing for it. Nevertheless, I'd say that this has got to be the best method available for injecting new life into an old scam. I've looked into all angles, and I'd say this is foolproof except for bad luck.

just wondering.. wtf is the lotto scam...

It's a common trick that was used a long time ago by LGers. You set up a fake lottery, selling tickets for a certain amount of gold (let's say maybe 500 or so, at 250 gold each.)
You offer a prize for the person with the winning ticket. This is always lower than the amount of money you can get by buying tickets. You have a mule buy a ticket, then announce it as the winner. This way, you lose nothing, especially if you originally owned said item yourself. This is an easy way of getting gold for an item you want really badly, and making a profit on the sly thereby. It was also a common method of money laundering. Gaya caught on and started banning people, and introduced a rule in forum games making these lottos illegal. I thought of a way to evade their shit rules as previously mentioned in this thread, but you need a lot of people with randomly changing IPs to do it.
Peace.My contributions:

I just wouldn't buy a lotto ticket. You have slim chances of winning. And if you do prepared to get spammed on your profile saying "Congrats"
