Has anyone hacked an account, but didn't change the password, and use that account like a shadow?
I guess it's like a mule that looks less like a mule because it's active even when you aren't using it.
Anyone have any other input on this type of use?

I don't think anyone on LG has ever "hacked" an account. People may have scammed/tricked people out of their accounts, though.
And no, I don't do that for Gaia Accounts. However, I AM doing that for a person's Gmail that I got into.

i do that, but only when i know the account is going to get banned, and the other person still uses it. Only because I like seeing it happen when they realize what happened to them, and they start posting about it in the chatterbox.
I stopped doing it though since its just stupid and can always lead back to you if you dont change your IP after every logout.Voted Hottest Male Member

Only can be done with n00b accounts. Old account holders easily get to know someone is lurking in their account.

For all the stuff that happens around here, LG itself is always remarkably unchanged. Thanks to the folks who still remembered I was once here and welcomed me back despite me being retarded.

Cracking an account is not hacking.
LG's resident grammar nazi.
Need warez? I can probably find it for you. Throw me a PM.

hacking is directly taking control of somebody's system illegally from an external source, via a backdoor entry method or stealing access with a virus. It can be learned easy too, if you aren't particular about falling foul of the law. The Internet has everything you need as far as that goes.
Cracking isn't considered hacking any more than fire can become solid. My contributions:

I mostly do that with runescape accounts, wait until they buy something super expensive, then drop it or donate it to a Nubl3t
I have done that on gaia tho, and its fun getting noobs banned. This is how:
1. Scam someone into giving you their password
2. Log onto their account every so often but only check their inventory for rare items
3. Use ANY bot that you can get your hands on (I like fishing ones) and MAKE SURE that other people see that your botting or tell a bunch of people OR report them on a mule
4. Use all the money from botting and all of their items for a charity forum, say Give A Gift or Newbie Supporting and Training guild.
5. When they get banned anyone who has hacked gold / the hacked accounts items will also be banned, because they trace the trades
I know it sounds complicated but its fun to do when your bored XD

Oh give it up. Stop arguing semantics. The point is of this thread is about not changing the password, not how to get the password.
@flare: that does sound like fun
