I'm just wondering, but what's the point in gifting items anonymously?
Can't Gaia still track them...

It's easier than trading with a mule.
You could also gift items to other random people, just to throw Gaia off.

Just gift anonymously throughout several accounts and it would make it super hard to get banned.

They can still track anonymous gifting. They invented it for surprise gifts, not for hackers to outsmart them.

It takes work I am not saying that it is a auto one gift thing just wait and leave the gifts wrapped up on one account for a few weeks then do the same thing over again.

Secret Santa's etc....
However we use it for a different purpose that was listed above, letting it sit in an account for acouple months, then going back and selling it.

Yes, Gaia can chain ban accounts, at the same time, it's happened to me 4 times at least.

Well, people won't believe me but still i hav to say . . .
Once I got into a Developer Account (2yrs back) and on going through the account, I saw that these guys have two passwords. One is their account password and the other is the Gaia Mod Dog (The database where u do editing stuff) password. Luckily this guy was a new Developer so he did not have a secondary password. So I made a new one, and got into mod dog and viewed some random profiles . . . .
Now getting on topic, There is a list on every ones profile (in ModDog) which shows all gifts, trades and games played. And even IP's associated with the account (evn tho those IP's have just 1 log in) So in a sense, all that is "So called unknown" is easily known by the Mods in just a click.
So as for my comment, I would just say it's very much idiotic to do anonymus gifts and say "Hey dude I am safe" xD

Are you serious? Somehow I think you don't know anything about how the Internet works.
If you have to ask that question, you won't understand the answer. The answer for dummies: Gaia can track anything that happens on Gaia. All site owners can track anything that happens on their site.

I used to do it alot before, but they can still track you down and ban all the accounts you've gifted even if it is annonymously.

The mods and devs on gaia arent retarded, that is why the whole gifting thing got patched. it never used to be, but since LG went down the last time they fixed it a little better.
They could see trades, and non-anonymous gifts, now they made it so they can see "secret admirer" gifts. nothing is sacred any more, so any "secured" item or "LEGIT" item that was in another account's inventory, even if it was a mule, can trace the gifts so chain-bans and stuff is easier for the mods to do.
multiple gifts doesn't circumvent this either.
They got smarter, now its our turn to keep them guessing and on the losing side.Voted Hottest Male Member

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Gaia has ALWAYS been able to see every single thing that happens on their site. This is a website hosted one their servers, and they can look at every bit of activity that happens.
Did you ever do anything? That sounds awesome. :p

@Rundeer - Yes gaia has always been able to see, at least the vast majority of whats been going on. PHPBB2 and PHPBB3 keeps a pretty intuitive log of all activities on the site.
