Natures Prophet
Currently my favorite charecter to play.
I haven't quite been able to bridge the gap into competitve play yet.
I've just been practicing my jungle skills in bot games.
Let's get a hero discussion about some different builds, stratageys, and tips
I normally go for a fast midas for that gold into boots.
[ Second topic today, I'll stop now xD]

Hero Discussion - Natures Prophet (Furion)

I usually go straight for orchid as it gives attack speed, damage + ability to silence them. Then how the game is going and what the team needs will depend what I get next e.g. helm of dom or sheep stick etc.
I personally dislike jungling because people just know and target you when you're missing. They can easily kill you as furion is a fragile hero.

Basi -> Midas -> Boots is pretty standard.

I've been playing more, getting faster at farming. I've found Curiass to be nice in the mid-stages (level 13-16)ish to help stay alive.

Depends on who you are against, and what items you plan on building. There are a ton of items that can help one stay alive. Shadow Blade is generally the better option, because it is way cheaper, and you can cast your teleport while invis in it without breaking the invis. Then there's agh's for push strat (+health), but generally your carry won't approve. If you go the AC build, you're wasting your gold if the other team's carries are mostly magic damage (e.g. Storm Spirit, Queen of Pain, etc.). Something like a BKB would keep you alive better, and AC against physical-damage carries. At the same time with AC, you should take advantage of your newfound attack speed. Items that have orb effects are your friend. The minus armor from Deso is nice to make you a solid carry. Maybe the slow from Skadi, but those are two large items you might not be able to farm up very fast. Monkey King Bar comes to mind, but I'm not familiar enough with NP to know how good that is on him. I am sure the ranged chance for a mini-bash would be less on a ranged hero, if there is a chance at all, but there are always heroes who do get the lowered-ranged-chance items. MKB is always a great combo with AC, while providing similar attack damage as Deso to make you a viable carry.
But something like AC + Hex would be wasting the 2100g the attack speed from AC cost. As good as hex is on NP, your build wouldn't be optimal. If you need a hex to keep the other team in check, you may want to try other survivability options. For example, Shiva's Guard also provides armor (only a few less than AC, but no armor aura for your team), but it also gives huge int gain for NP's mana pool and attack damage and an active for teamfights/general slow. Or a basic +strength item like BKB is a good option on most heroes. And Mek is pretty common on him too -- small armor, lots of health regen, an active that needs to be present in every game, and an active/passive that will greatly help his treeants push.

I totally agree with you Chief. I personally steer away from AC on most ints and would never think of getting one for Furion. Shiva's guard or Mek would for sure be better options and alternatives to AC. And I see Furion as a harasser (with team or a carry) and an aggressive pusher and the items I get would reflect that.
But in saying that, go whatever build you think you and your team would work best with because in the end, you shouldn't be the major carry (if so, bad luck having a poor/under-farmed carry)

That's a lot to process chief.
I didn't really see the potential in shadow blade till you explained you can use tp while invis.
I haven't really had a team to play with, I've got like one other friend, and the occasional pub game i'll play.
Started learning a new hero, wisp. Trying out the support role.
I really enjoy counter-pushing with np, he can really take advantage of them being out of position.https://discord.gg/TvN6xUb ~ chat on discord pls.

NP's a good hero to learn. Io may be too difficult to get into if you're new to supporting, but he is powerful, so I can't say not to learn him. Someone a little less squishy (Vengeful Spirit stops being squishy around mid-game) or defensive (Crystal Maiden has slow and stun, but fear her lack of health and movement speed) can keep you alive longer. KotL has highest movement speed, so may be good for learning too, but his ulti's creating new abilities may take a bit of time to grasp.

May be off-topic but I liked it when Io's spirits didn't 'explode' and stayed. Would much rather reduced damage and higher cooldown.

You can make a topic to discuss Io.
