Unfortunately, Dota 2 has a massive learning curve.
You are going to be constantly reminded of how much you suck for about 1-3 months (if you learn). If you read this guide and use your brain and be actively aware of how bad you suck, you can easily shave time off of your complete noob status. You could even make some kids think that you’re really good, but only if they are bad.

After reading that whole thing I have decided that I will give DOTA 2 a try. I don't think the learning curve will be too hard for me since I already plan on running as support (it's always been my style of play in the original) and seeing as I already had a basic grasp of how the game work I don't see it taking me very long to be decent. I'll make a new steam today when I get home from work. How large is the DOTA 2 DL?
Also I probably won't be on it a lot seeing as my girlfriend tends to frown on playing games on the PC when I'm home because she isn't into these kind of games (she doesn't like learning new mechanics, she still plays platform games and things like candy crush)
IDR how big it is. But typical modern game size.
And if you read all that, you will do fine.
Ohkay it'll probably take me a few hours to download it then I may get a game or two in tonight if everything goes right. I get off work in about an hour.
