This is a list of which heroes are most played competitively, with explanations as to why.

Competitively-picked heroes are the ones that are the most stable or overpowered. Many heroes rely on the opponent team's lack of skill. Huskar, for example, gains his strength from the other team not knowing how to shoot down a Huskar. But when you are playing a team who doesn't suck, Huskar will do you no good. That's why it's good to aim for competition-worthy heroes.
Not only can you learn how to play these heroes by streaming pro games, but you'll be learning to use skills much more useful than what other heroes can provide.
