Dear Keegan,
90% of your posts makes me want to punch babies. This is not fucking twitter, if you're asked to give well thought answers, AFTER watching the video, do so, don't just post some bullshit.
Now, regarding the video, I have now possition towards death penalty. I was somehow shocked by the last guy's comment, the one saying criminals shouldn't be given a peaceful death, because they didn't give one to their victims. It seems so primitive that we still apply the law of retaliation. I mean, seriously, we can't use the same principles that were used almost 4000 years ago.
The last gas mask was rather interesting and worrying. A gas that's almost undetectable and can kill you in a minute.

Well i do believe that it is the 21st century and we should establish or have a painless killing method. However i think that it depends on the crime that was commited. I also think that painless death would be right as well in all cases, because death really is the worst punishment a person could have does it matter how he goes through it? What i don't understand is why cant they put the victim under Anastasie and then do whatever they wish to the body. I think first they should check the pulse or do some method of figuring out if the victim is unconscious. I however dont understand (scientifically) why just depriving the victim of ALL oxygen would be any better then taking most. My hypothesis after watching this documentary is that Hypoxia (through altitude chambers) is the best execution method that is painless. It is guaranteed and painless which makes it "better" than any of the other executions mentioned in this documentary. Now a real life picture. We will probably have to start killing off people or atleast decrease the birth rate by say allowing only one child per family. China is doing this and it is relatively working but at a slow pace. Killing off people really wouldnt be humane either but it would be the fastest (if they used large amounts of people). Its not like waiting generations upon generations to wait for the population to go down although in my opinion i would like to wait instead of watching people i know or myself being killed. I got this idea from reading a short story in that they held a lottery annually, to decrease their population and for good luck in the crops season. I mean a short story called "The Lottery" you would think something good would happen but thats not what happens. Sorry to go off topic here but i felt something needed to be said about how i came up with my opinion. Common sense / knowledge also helped me with my opinion

My own opinion correlates with drak's over all. I didn't have too much of one before watching this, at least not from an educated stand point. It was more like I didn't care, but after seeing this I'm really not sure exactly what I think. I'd hate to personally have to have to go through any of those. As a kid I always thought of if I for some crazy reason had to get the death penalty what would I choose? None of them seem appealing at all, and even more so after watching this documentary. I was appalled at the lack of humanity the man at the end seemed to have. If we have that attitude doesn't it make us just as bad as those we are sentencing to death? To be that vindictive really just shows a lack of self control on that man's end. I can understand feeling powerless and wanting to hurt those who hurt others, but in the end you're no better than them. I think a quick painless way to die would be more humane. Though it bring into question would it really be a deterrent to criminals? I'm sure it'd still be at least a deterrent in some sense since most people don't want to die. However it doesn't have the same gory brutality of the other methods which makes it less "off putting"? It really bring into question whether we want to be humane, or be feared. In the end I'd rather have a quick painless death, I'm not sure how much I want to extend that to others. Although that would be the right thing to do; and would be hypocritical of me to expect something like that in the same situation if I'm not willing to let others.
All hail kitty pig.
