Nonono.
You can't just look at something.
You have to feel it with your eyes.
Literally, smoosh your head against whatever you're drawing.
If it's a screen, just open your eyes real wide and stare at every single little detail you can.
And then draw it (while feeling it with your eyes every now and then) and repeat forever.

idk i got into art school for high school so like
honestly classes will help. start off with shapes and then form, tone, texture and etc. (7 elements of design are tone, shape, texture, form, line, colour, & space) and then base your composition based off of that stuff??
yeah also and a crap ton of practice ha

I actually watched other people draw. To see how they did it first. I believe I have copy eyes. When I see something done I can reproduce it.

You need the patients to learn to see things ...as they are? I dunno classes always tell you to see things as shapes because everything can be made of the basic shapes. Its true but I notice a lot of people don't like that answer and don't like practicing the shapes. But if you can get the shapes down and like how to shade them then when you move on to things that are well things then you really already know what your doing.
...Yeah I just sounded pants on head retarded but I don't know really how better to explain it. Practice your shapes!

Drawing takes a lot of practice. And a lot of time. I do not know how to explain it. But it's enjoyable to me.

While I don't particularly like how the poll suggests that only drawings are considered as art, I do draw and am an artist myself.
I started young. I was a prodigy, if I may call myself that. I remember my earliest drawings being Dragonball Z characters.
That's right, I didn't start with a house, flowers, with mommy and daddy. They always labelled me odd, but very talented.
I'll be honest though. I barely draw or practice, which is probably why I'm not all THAT, but people do look at my work as impressive.
I draw about two to five times a month, well, at least, I used to.
Right now, I'm accepting requests on Gaia and am busy trying to improve, because my art is too lack luster from where I want it to be.
Spoiler:Here's some examples of my works:

I can draw manga-grade stuff once I get into it.
If not it's just okay. :/
Humans yawn when they think of it.

I mostly draw anime style colour in hard cell shading.
I'm starting to get the basics down for soft shading and a more realistic style of drawing. Still terrible at realistic styles when I digitally draw though. orz

I was drawing when I was very young. I drew on the walls and stuff. Around 6th grade I was introduced to more amazing and detailed art so I just strived to do harder, I draw a lot in school now but it isnt the best I assure you. My friends all love and support my drawings and such but I dont color anything.

Not me, I suck at it. Although I do enjoy looking at it.
