See, once upon a time there was a house with a red door and a sign above it that read "Forever More"
And in this house there lived
a mommy
a daddy
and a little girl.
One night that mommy and daddy decided to go out for dinner, and they left that little girl there home alone.
But it was okay, you know.
She was 14 years old, she considered herself to be a young adult,
responsible.
So Katie, that was her name, this young girl,
She made herself comfortable, in that house she'd always known.

She had the lights on, the fire was burning, and the TV was playing.

By about half past 10
Those lights began to Dim.
The Fire began to Fade.
The TV began to Splutter.
..Katie felt a little bit Fearful..

A few minutes later, those lights, they died.
The fire turned to smoke, the TV made its last noise
And Katie felt a darkness creep inside of her.
A coldness down to her very bone.

Katie phoned up her daddy, and her daddy told her
"Oh my darling, my angel, my only one. There's no need to fear.
All you gotta do is go down to the basement and flick the fuse, and everything will be okay."
But Katie was scared of that basement.
Katie had always been afraid of that basement.
That Dark, Cold, Damned basement.

So in that house with a red door and a sign above it that read "Forever More"
Katie found herself standing in front of that basement, feeling a fear she'd never felt before.
Her daddy on the phone whispering sweet words of comfort.

"Now Katie, the most important thing to remember, is there's only 10 steps down to the basement floor.
And I'll count along with you every step of the way."

So Katie swung open that door
and that fear
that fear crept in, that fear she felt before.

But before daddy could finish his sentence, he heard something that's been haunting him for the rest of his life.
Everytime he closes his eyes, it creeps into his nightmares
