Wow, that's actually extremely impressive.
Question: I'm looking to get into music mixing/creation/whatever. I pirated FL Studio 10, but can't seem to make anything remotely good in it. I first blamed it on a lack of samples, but two pirated sample packs later and I'm still stuck, and I have absoltely no idea how to use any of the synths included. I've been looking to get some turntables and stuff like the ones you have, but they're 600 bucks, and I don't have that kind of money. This is on my list of things to do:
1.) Sell the 30+ textbooks I have for some money (All of them at their "new" price (Normally around 60 bucks) would be over 2 grand in books. I'll probably have to sell them for half that, if I can even get that much. This should set me up with a bit of money
2.) Try to find cheap turntables. The ones I found that could do laptop and CD were 600, and I think they were Numark. Also, should I get the full two turntables with the mixer thingy in the middle thing, or get them all separately? Because whenever you see someone like Deadmau5 or Skrillex's setup (Though I hate skrillex), they're always separate and they have some turntable that has those two buttons, one orange and one green, to set what I think are loop points. Just watch a video of one of Skrillex's concerts from where he's standing and you can see it.
3.) Buy some good speakers or headphones. Right now I'm using 1990's Labtec speakers and Skullcandy earbuds because my nice Sony headphones broke.
Any tips or anything?

I got this Numark Mixtrack for 100 from a friend, but you can find it that price on Amazon.
Also, get the VSTi plugin "Massive" by Native Instrument. Download lots of sample packs for it.
CLUBLANDLV.COM is a good place to get producer tools and torrents for Free.
Personally, I produce with Ableton. It's a little difficult to learn, but it's worth it. As far as FL Studio goes, look up Tutorials on Youtube.
But your'e going to want to make sure you have Massive (at least, that's what I like to use). What it is, is a synth/bass/etc. creator that lets you edit every aspect of anything to get the sound you want. There are a lot of tutorials, and a lot of default sounds to play with when you get it. You can use Massive as a Plugin with FL Studio too
Other than that, just play around and have fun.
I made the beat and had it looping in the background, and when I plugged my controller into the Laptop I just right click on the nobs in Massive, chose "MIDI Learn" and turned the nob I wanted that sound to go to.
For example, when I change the LFO (wobble speed), I assigned it to my "Cue Gain" nob (the top middle) so when I turned it up, the LFO went faster, and when I turned it down, it went slower.
The other three on the side was the Cutoff, Scream and Res.
Massive will either automatically read your controller, or you go in the settings, go to the "Controller" tab, and choose your controller from there.Last edited by Raivu; 18 Oct. 2012 at 08:03pm.

Yeah I have massive, I just have no idea how to use it haha. I'll have to look up some tutorials I guess. Also, is this the right Numark? Amazon.com: Numark MIXTRACK DJ Software Controller: Musical Instruments
I've been told I should get Ableton or Cubase, but I wasn't sure if either was really better than FL Studio. All I've heard is that they have a steeper learning curve, haha.

Ableton, definitely.
I have Cubase and it's just weird and funky to me.
Ableton has the best Mastering system, and it's literally much friendlier as an interface.
And yeah, that's the one☜(* x *)☞FOOL ON COOL GENERATION
