Do you ever hear music playing after a radio has been turned off, almost like it's still playing out of a muffled speaker?
If yes, why do you think this is? A quick search on google gave me nothing but information on blind and deaf people.

Is the music declarable? Or does it sort of sound like music and you assume it's related to what you were listening to? Does it have to follow a radio/speaker being shut of or do you hear it at other times?
I can at time recreate music or write music in my head and literally trick my senses and brain into thinking I'm listening to the music.

Oh man, you're not going to like this answer, but....
What you have is a severe neurological condition. You can read about people with almost the same conditions if you read books about neurology, such as "The man who mistook his wife for a hat". I believe that's the book I read it in. Some people have music "play" in their head, and it sounds like its coming from, say, earbuds. Sometimes its practically albums of music, other times its just a song, and sometimes it's just parts of songs. You're going to want to see a doctor, and mention neurological conditions. He may refer you to another doctor, but even if it costs money, you should go. If you have a severe neurological disorder, it could lead to future brain damage or something similar, unless you get it checked out as soon as possible. Does this happen often, or randomly? Does it sometimes seem like you have to shout over the music so you can even hear yourself talk?
You may want to see a neurologist about this. I've read quite a few books about neurology, but am nowhere near an expert on it.

It's pretty common. Happens. Especially for those who are more avid music listeners.
A few sources to reassure you:

I have epilepsy, so that would make sense if I hadn't asked a few random people who said they've experienced it too. But that is interesting, so thanks for posting.
@Unintelligible: that yahoo answer is probably correct. My itunes is telling me my top song was listened to 212 times on my iphone, which I carry with me everyday. Thanks.I am steady killin' fools.

Don't listen to Flareboy.
Shit's normal, and I don't think anyone has discovered why yet. We don't fully understand our draw to music, so we sure as Hell won't fully understand the repercussions of listening to it. But what you're experiencing is common.

That makes no sense and is completely far-fetched. It's a common phenomena (as explained in the links I provided). Because someone can possibly hear the sound more acutely or vividly than another individual does not mean you're insane.
