So if you keep up with them you know John left the band a while back. They had most of an album done and things went up in the air because Chad joined Chickenfoot but now they are promising to have a new album out this year. They replaced John with the kid they use for rhythm guitar on tour. So with a lot of the album done it'll be hard to gauge the new kid's influence/skill/sound. He is playing on some what the band called "Afro-pop-rock song" so yeah.
I think this will be the end of the Peppers. This album has to be really good and the member that truly defined their sound is gone, not to mention John sing a ton in their stuff.
What are your thoughts?
Is this album a good idea?
Can the Peppers work without John?
