Lot of hub bub about the issue lately. Gene Simmons controversially spoke out calling the music industry a bunch of wussies and said that the laws should be changed so any one who file shares should have their assets seized, be fined, and imprisoned. As a result Anonymous has since shut down both of Simmons sites. This just illustrates a tension in the world today. Is downloading music wrong? Does it really cost the industry or artists money? Do you download and then buy the cd any way? What would be an effective way to promote buying cds?

Downloading Music

In my opinion, the shit about piracy costing millions a year is skipping around all those sites that offer monthly fees for unlimited downloads and stuff.
Anyway, I would rather buy a CD, but if I can't find it anywhere, or can't afford it, I'll download it and buy it later.
Studies have shown that pirates are more likely to actually buy Cd's than the average consumer, so I don't see the big deal.
Disco is neat.

i mostly buy AND download things
i mean,i love alot of underground bands but sometimes you cant find the cd you want or the live version of a song
so why is it wrong to download?
i mean most people who download also buy cd's...so
and dont forget...look at metallica they say that downloading is wrong?
you know whats wrong...50 bucks for a fucking metallica t-shirt and 200 bucks for a TICKET
come on i prefer to see violator for only 5 bucks..or in my case free cus im friends with them lol and pay 10 bucks for a shirt and get a free sticker xD
