Smudge is like an emotion.
You need to let it flow out of you.
Art isn't like life it is allowed to be distorted.
Well, now that I'm done being a hippie. Smudging is always fun, play with it remember smudging isn't just for smearing stuff everywhere it's to allow a distortion to an image. Distort the fucking image , if you do not like it keep doing it.
And it's not to bad, you need to be a little smoother with it, but that is just my opinion.
Try a softer setting?

That's the type of brush setting I use for smudging so he must be pro.The smudging shouldn't be the key point in your sig, its used mostly in the background to create lighting for the render. Seeming your using the render it matched the background. to the render

To be honest it's kinda nasty.
Color scheme is just ew. And hurts my head.
And sorry to say the smudge is fail.
But keeping taking tuts.
You'll get better at smudging.
