I can think of atleast 3 which I can contribute. It doesn't have to be UG per say, but one that isn't accessible to just anyone so that the guide could be googled, and looked up immediately. What would the thoughts on that be?
Could make it done by post restriction, or what not. Doesn't even have to be good posts, but I feel like it'd be better off if some things were seen by people who actually contribute to activity of the forum (also blocks the ability for gaia mods to do some sleuthing)

A more private guides section

Sounds like UG material. It's not like UG is flooded with amazing content that you might leak.
PM me the guides, and I'll see how quality they are.

I feel like the normal Gaia Guides section should be hidden and require 15 posts. Then, people should post advertisements about their new guides in the normal Gaia section so that new users go "Woah, that sounds awesome, I gotta get 15 posts!" and actually post. If they're really good though, they should still go in the UG.

Yeah I haven't written them formally yet, but I know the layout and content of each of them. 15 still seems kind of easy for me, I'd say 30 is a round number that seems more common on forums which try to prevent leaching. Even still, the content if too widely spread sometimes loses its value. There are some things I really rather not every one know.

30 might be too high for people to bother. The goal is that after those 15 posts, they'll be familiar enough with members to want to stay even after getting what they initially came for. If they don't even bother trying to post after feeling 30 is too high, then they definitely won't stay long-term.

Well I'm sure there's statistics for either way, but any limitation is better than none I guess haha. I did pm you the ideas, but you probably didn't pay much attention to them since they're not actually completed guides lol. Whelp, it's better than nothing one way or the other :x

I'll get back to you on it.
Also super open to this, even though I'd have to make a new usergroup which I hate doing. I do think it might help activity, so I'm moving this to the suggestions forum, whereafter it will be accepted whenever I get around to it.

It will be. Whenever I make a system for it, I'll make it so that Guides and Public Programs are hidden until the user pays 100 LGG, which they can acquire however they want -- posting or selling.

I think 100 LGG is kind of steep, not many people on the forum have that even now. Maybe 50 LGG? Because think about it, 100 LGG is like a hundred posts, which is a fuckton for a normal user, the only reason we get so much is because we post constantly throughout the day.

It can be toyed with. It's also not 100 posts now with the bonus LGG. If they like us on Facebook and Steam, they immediately get twice as much LGG from that moment on. Making 100 LGG essentially 50 LGG. But it can be experimented with based on user feedback. I might start it lower as a new idea and increase it if it's too easy to get in.

You don't get LGG for every post.

A lot of variables go into how much LGG you get for your post.
