It will take a little/lot of backend editing, but I think I can pull this off.
The posting stats right now are dancing around 250 posts per day. It's going a little over, little under. In a fun attempt to try and keep it above 250, I'm thinking about adding a progress bar to the top of the forum that counts how many posts have been made that day. If it reaches 250, everyone gets a 50% LGG bonus for all posts the next day. And the counter starts back at zero, and it'd go on indefinitely.
Good idea? Better alternatives?

I like it, I think it would be cool for the time being. As the average posts per day go up would you keep implementing it?

I think it would be awesome, but you should constantly up it as activity increases. It still feels awesome to look at the stats and see the day that had 1-9 posts a day, and then see the day that had over 400 posts in one day. I love the activity that has come back, I remember coming back on LG a few months ago and finding that I had the last post in every single subforum. It was horrible, the state of the forum.

Of course. It wouldn't be stuck on 250. I might do something like set the goal to be the average number of posts per day of the last month.
I also might do compound interest. So reaching the goal two days in a row gives you a larger bonus than reaching it only one day. And three days gives a larger bonus than two days.
Yes, yes I like this. Should be fun. But I don't think it can be made with a plugin since it involves editing another plugin. Going to have to edit this straight into vB, probably.
