I think that in the Suggestions forum, each post should have to be accompanied by a "Yes" and "No" poll, so we could really see what users think about the idea. It would allow user input, and would let people vote even if they don't have anything to post. Of course, this democracy could be overridden by administrators, but it would still allow some insight into user's wants and needs.

I'm fine with it, but I don't think it should be punishable if someone doesn't. Not like their suggestion is any less valid because they forgot to ask others what they think. But putting it up as an unenforced rule, sure.
